Biography


Fabio Colombini is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer and music teacher with over 30 years of experience, nine albums released and a huge stage experience.

He began his classical guitar studies at the age of ten, then moving on to popular. He also studied singing, piano and drums before joining CLAM, a renowned music school in Sao Paulo – Brazil, run by Zimbo Trio, a very famous group for having played with Bossa Nova artists such as Elis Regina and Tom Jobim. At CLAM, He studied improvisation, harmony, arrangement and composition.

At the age of fifteen he started his professional career playing in cover bands and started teaching music in some conservatories as well. At the age of eighteen, he was invited to play guitar and sing with Angolan bluesman Nuno Mindelis, recorded two albums and performed with great artists of international music as Mick Taylor (former The Rolling Stones guitarist), Robben Ford and Robert Cray. He toured throughout Brazil and in 1992 went to Chicago where performed at the legendary blues bars, playing alongside Larry McCray and former Jimmy Hendrix drummer Buddy Miles.

He was the founder of Brazilian pop rock band “Homens do Brasil” with whom he recorded two albums.

Fabio was the lead singer and guitarist in the Brazilian project “Rock in History” for many years. They performed in theatres the story of rock and roll from the 50’s to the 90’s and presented a 14-hour show for Kiss FM radio station, celebrating the International day of Rock and Roll. \

In 2004 he became a member of the tribute band “Beatles 4ever” playing John Lennon’s role for almost ten years.

In 2006 he recorded a solo album called “Demorou” containing twelve original songs. That was released to critical acclaim. In March of 2011, “Beatles 4ever” performed a 24-hour memorable show. An exclusive stage was set for the band in São Paulo downtown area and the band, played all the Beatles songs in a row, with the support and energy of thousands of fans who packed the streets around the stage during all the 24 hours of presentation.

One year later, Fabio decided to leave “Beatles 4ever” to put together his own tribute band "The Beat Beatles", seeking new challenges and producing shows with orchestras for theatres and major events.

In 2012 he became the lead singer of Brazilian rock band “Motorguts”, with former Angra and Shaman musicians.

In 2015 he was invited to be the lead singer of Brazilian hard rock band "Hardstuff", recording a self-titled album, and releasing three video clips.

In 2016 he was invited by internationally known Sepultura’s guitarist Andreas Kisser to sing with his band “Kisser Clan”.

He has been writing and recording soundtracks/ jingles the musical scores for theatre, film, television, radio, commercials, websites and multimedia.

In September of 2016, Fabio moved to Melbourne - Australia and he is currently working as a music teacher and session musician. He is now pursuing various musical projects including the Latin band “Siesta Cartel” and an original solo pop rock band called “Tribe”. He is also writing a new solo album to be released soon.
